“Comfortable Merida Motel with Pool”
Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Swimming pool is great and appreciated in the heat! Shower in the bedroom was a little tricky to work out how to use at first but is amazing with a mirror and small seat inside. Modern single bedroom with small bathroom. Location isn't in the heart of the town but close enough. TIP If going to the bus station with suitcases (although it's only 20-25mins walk) might be best to take a bus/taxi as the bridge is long and it was 36° heat without shade.
I arrived late and was in Merida for the festival and returned to the guesthouse after the theatre at 01:00. I was hoping to sleep in but woke up at 08:30 as the cleaner was hitting the wall with a mop/broom, which was on the other side of my bed beside the staircase. Although I came out of the room to see what the banging was and thankfully she realised so she was quiet after that. Also at 1:30am at night there were a group of teens/young people being very loud in the corrider by the vending machine. I came out of my room to ask them politely to be quieter. I would suggest putting up signs to respect silence after 11pm or midnight. I would also suggest putting adults (singles/couples) in rooms further away from dorm rooms with teens/students.

“Fulfilling.”
All I needed for my visit to Merida, Spain….including the professionalism and emotional-intelligence enjoyed with reception person Isidro.
“Great budget option, convenient for rail station and main sightseeing locations”
Simple room in a relaxed complex close to the rail station and a short walk from the Roman sites.
“Great!”
Friendly and professional staff. Excellent parking in an area that is hard to find a parking spot. Very clean. I did not expect this quality of service in a hostal. The price was perfect. In short, a great value. It was too cold to try the swimming pool, but it looked inviting.
