Very clean spacious apartment. Fully equipped with everything we needed for our small children, the hosts thought of everything for them which was a lovely touch. Communication with the owner was very good, they were very responsive

The best

The apartment is beautifully presented with all mod cons, including air conditioning, a large fridge freezer and a washing machine on site. The rooms are spacious with storage in both rooms including a walk in wardrobe to the master bedroom. There is a large balcony/terrace accessed through the living room which is set up for outdoor dining. The aspect is East facing so is best enjoyed in the early part of the day. Both of the beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. We were supplied with more than enough towels (inc beach towels) for our six day stay. There's a nearby Aldi, so it's easy to stock up and not leave the apartment complex if that's your thing. The complex was very quiet when we stayed (October) and we generally had the large pool area (there are six in total) to ourselves. There's a nice pizza place near the Aldi and most nearby food outlets look like they deliver (saw lots of food deliveries coming on to the complex in the evening). We didn't meet the owner in person but all comms via email, text and WhatsApp were super prompt and helpful. Instructions on how everything worked were generally clear and easy to follow.

To be improved

If you're planning to do more than just relax at the apartment and in the grounds / pool areas a car is essential. The location is OK. The Hacienda del Sol complex where the apartment is located is beautifully kept and clean but immediate area around the complex does not have much to offer. The beach is not that nice and it's at least a 20 minute walk to a decent bar or restaurant as you have to cross a bridge over the A7 dual carriageway to reach them. Having an Aldi nearby is a saving grace. When driving from Malaga you need to go past the complex and come back on yourself due to where the exits are, off the A7 so this adds a little time to the journey and the junctions off and on the A7 can be busy and quite sketchy. The apartment itself has just about everything that you could ask for, although we would have preferred some more bedding (double duvet). The only other niggle was the need to take all.of the rubbish outside the complex when we left. When we stayed the complex was very quiet. There was someone in the apartment above for a few days and sound travelled through. Not sure if this might be a problem in high summer. There are 10-20 sun beds provided by the complex for a pool with the capacity for 175. Again not sure how that would play out in high summer. I must stress these are all minor niggles and perhaps things to consider if visiting in high season. Overall we had a great stay and would book again.
