“A clean safe, apartment close to the airport, but the complex is a dump.”

The best

The apartment itself is very clean and modern inside. Plenty of room, good cooking facilities, comfortable bed, very secure and safe. There was a receptionist who was friendly on arrival an pointed us in the direction of the apartment. There are a couple of local restaurants up the road that were nice and there are some nice parts to the town itself, especially the boardwalk that leads along the coast to the harbour. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean.

To be improved

The complex (Hotel Palia Don Pedro, but I would hesitate to call it a hotel) has seen better days. It is very shabby and in need of major investment. However, worse than the crumbling infrastructure, the place is dirty. The floor of the bar was sticky and looked like it hadn't been mopped for many days. Also the bins around the bar and pool area were over-flowing and were not emptied in the 2 days we were there. There were plenty of staff at the bar but they were not interested in keeping the place clean! The town itself is not very attractive. There are some nice parts over-looking the seafront but overall it is fairly grim.

To be improved

The location of the apartment is pretty difficult to find.The address on the booking website is the location of the whole community and it is very hard to find the exact address of the room. This hotel doesn't even have a GUIDE (front desk). We asked local and properties before finally finding the room.

The best

We had an excellent stay at this apartment in Tenerife. It’s been refurbished to a high standard and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The added security with an alarm system provided peace of mind. The host was very helpful and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location is also great for exploring South Tenerife. Highly recommended!
