“A super quiet and historic location. Good for a couple of days.”
This is a house, either rented as one unit or as separate bedrooms the bedrooms were large and comfortable. The host was lovely and very helpful. The area was quite very old with great history. Good for 2 or 3 day stay, as once done you are a long way from any large towns etc.
Very little it was a pleasant stay. A little map in the room maybe showing restraunts and shops would have been useful with timings.
“Really comfortable room in beautiful and friendly medieval village”
This accommodation felt really luxurious and relaxing. Our room was really comfortable and calm, the shower room spacious and clean. The village was really interesting and worth doing the classic walk around the river loop, from which you can see the town walls and the fortifications. Amazing views and landscapes, and a lovely village too - everybody was so friendly. The village has a lot of artists (visit the art gallery) and fun street art, and a well-looked after feral cat colony near the castle (watch out when parking or leaving the car park).
Being left alone for breakfast - this was fine but did feel a little odd - we would come out of our room to find everything prepared and waiting for us in dishes with cling-film, and we helped ourselves, made coffee in the machine, ate and got on with our day. Breakfasts were very good, with more than we could eat. We missed Maya at those times, though she was really attentive and we enjoyed speaking with her when we could - the story of the name of the house is worth asking about! Google was not very accurate about which restaurants would be open, and on the first day it was only the very expensive parador restaurant open (due to some family tragedies, so that is unusual), so we ended up driving to the next village. So definitely worth making advance reservations, whatever day and season it is, because of the small number of places in the village.
“Superb”
