Domus Oncinae Fabia

We stayed at Domus Oncinae on our Camino de Santiago. The rooms were sparkly clean, the beds were like clouds, the towels were soft, and the outdoors was pleasant to sit during the sunlight hours. The lunch we had was the best on the Camino so far. The burrata salad was absolutely the most amazing dish I have eaten in years. The entrees were excellent as was the dessert. The breakfast was plentiful and there was no lack for anything. The entire staff from Juan (the owner) to Jose to all the women ---were very nice; they went out of their way to help with anything. I hope anyone reading this will take the time to stay in this gem of a hotel. It is not to be missed.

Beautiful, quiet location on the Camino Frances. Hotel was a true delight. Clean, well equipped rooms, lovely restaurant with wonderful food, excellent staff that bent over backwards to be helpful and friendly. This was a great stay at the 500 km mark of my Camino. Leaving here feeling pampered and refreshed.

Stayed for one night after a hot day walking the Camino. Staff were very nice and the property looks very new. Our room had three beds, but no storage apart from a very small free standing rail, although staff allowed us to use an airing stand in the courtyard in front of the room to dry our clothes. There wasn’t any air conditioning and the room was stiflingly hot during the night. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was pleasant as was the simple breakfast.

In many respects a lovely place to stay, nice room, great shower, but my room wasn't ready when I arrived (well after check in time), there were no facilities to wash or dry clothes, and no food available until 9pm. As the property is right on the Camino it seems that they have no interest at all in such customers. Dinner itself was uninspiring, no 'pilgrim menu ' as advertised outside, and only meat based main courses. Maybe this was just a bad day, but there seemed to be hardly any staff and a total lack of customer service

We traveled with a 2 months baby and stayed just for one night. Arrived on a rainy evening after 7 hours drive from Barcelona. We had a warm welcome by Daniel, who provided a smooth and fast check-in, and already made us feel comfortable, after long journey. The hotel design and facilities are great, themed as a Roman house "Domus", from the common areas to the rooms we loved it! Morning after we were greet and served breakfast by the "Manager" (which I don't recall his name) who made us feel like at home. Even it was a short stay, we had a wonderful experience! Now we have a favorite stop when traveling from Barcelona to Santiago!

The place is new, well made and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The dinner was simple perfect. And the chef very attentive. Breakfast also good, is served in another room of the place. If you are around go there.
