Terrible experience – do not stay here! This was by far the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. We were greeted in the middle of the night by an unfriendly elderly man wearing a mask and sunglasses – at 1 a.m.! He informed us that we wouldn’t be given a key to the room, and that we had to come and go only at specific times, which was completely unacceptable. The room was in awful condition: it smelled strongly of mold and dampness, and the air was heavy with humidity. Simply sitting on the bed would make your clothes wet from the moisture. The sheets had hair on them, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, and no towels were provided. There was no air conditioning, and the only way to “lock” the room was with a flimsy latch.

“Musty Smell Shouldn't Stay”

The location is excellent—around 5 minute walk to Alhambra. The host were friendly, although the first impression felt rather awkward as their appearance seemed a bit unusual to me. Cleanliness definitely needs improvement, especially due to the strong musty smell. Better ventilation is necessary.I couldn’t sleep well at night, constantly wondering whether the bedsheet had been changed after the previous guest. Overall, I didn’t have high expectations after reading other reviews. I get what I pay for, I guess—but I sincerely hope the host will improve the cleanliness of this place. I believe the host will read this comment and hope they take action based on what many others have mentioned before.

“We didn't stay, we couldn't stay even if we wanted to, a doghouse would be more value for money”

We didn't manage to stay in the room, we tried to contact the manager/owner and we couldn't contact them either through the booking.com or through the phone provided in the instructions. We arrived later than expected and there was no one to let us in, so we ended up finding different accommodation. The reception at the hotel across the street told us that we weren't the first people trying to figure out what's happening with the hostel, it's a regular thing for people to book a room and then not be able to get into it.

Location, comfy clean bed after walking all day, up hill in the 30degrees heat it’s a great place to get a kip.

To be improved

As soon as I walked in I could smell garlic but not a big issue we had our own perfume we just sprayed that. It was fine!
