“Very good hotel and services”
The best

I'd visited the old town in 2013 and searched for affordable accommodation there before this trip but Double Tree by Hilton had better accommodation outside the old town albeit expensive. My Hilton Honors' price was the about the same as my booking.com price The rooftop pool and bar were the best this trip - the pool was about 15m with good views to the mountains and the old city. We didn't eat at the hotel - I checked the menu and vibes, deciding we were far better off walking the 15+ minutes to the old town with a great coffee shop on the way and another there, along with great food in each restaurant we researched Our two day trips were enjoyable - visiting historic villages I'd ridden through in 2013

To be improved

The wifi/internet wasn't secure. Our Norton VPN protected our phones but my computer struggled so I couldn't use it. The underground carpark was convenient but expensive

“A comfortable hotel in a beautiful town!”
The best

Very clean room, comfy beds, and a great bathroom in a quiet area. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.

To be improved

It was a bit farther from the old center of town than I thought, but that is on me, not the hotel!

“I love Girona!”
The best

Very friendly and welcomming staff and well equipped hotel! Reception open late which is so good when your train is delayed. I was robbed of my phone in Barcelona and didn't have any map or direction to follow. Friendly people in Girona helped me and showed the way🙏🏻 I will definitively return here and skip Barcelona.

To be improved

A little expensive when you are travelling alone, but higher standard compared to many other hotels.
