Cleanliness Issues: The house did not feel clean; the sofa was stained, and there was an unpleasant smell, possibly from insecticide. Lack of Essentials: There were no extra bed sheets, just a blanket on the bed, and only three towels provided for a five-night stay. Communication Delays: Although the owner was kind, responses took up to 24 hours, which made resolving issues slower.

An old coal cellar has been converted. The coal drop window is at sidewalk level. That's the window of the apartment. There is no air conditioning. There's no air inside, no air conditioning, no field strength, you can't make phone calls! We couldn't find a program or itinerary for the next day on the Internet, we had to go out into the street. The bins are in front of the window. Every night they came to take away the garbage with a truck. The front door had to be left open to let in air.

It's a fairly dangerous apartment for someone like me. There are stairs everywhere, five different levels in a tiny space. NO handrails. I fell after tripping over a small step into the bathroom. I could have been seriously injured. The apartment seems to have been carved out of the basement, but they had to build around obstacles to make it fit. Additionally, there was a nespresso coffee maker but no pods to get started the first morning. The TV only shows Spanish programs, and unless you have a FireStick you can't log in with your Netflix or other apps. The WiFi was also spotty and I ended up using my data plan on my phone.

It wasn’t the cleanest, but nothing was unpleasant about the place.
