I have to say, when I arrived at the property and saw its location, sandwiched directly above and between a couple of busy tapas bars on a narrow pedestrian only thoroughfare full of such establishments, my first thought was to worry about how much sleep I might be able to get at night. I need not have worried, as the sound proofing in the (top floor) apartment I stayed in was incredibly effective in shutting out both external and internal noise. As a result, I was able to consider myself very fortunate to be staying literally next door to El Corcho, an absolutely fantastic tapas bar, which I probably popped into at least twice a day during my four night stay here. Generally speaking, the apartment was clean and comfortable with a pleasing ambience, and the location of the apartment close to the city's main sights and bars and restaurants was excellent.

Communication with the property manager did give rise to an issue, in that I had received several messages in the weeks and days leading up to my stay, telling me of the need to complete a 'personal details' form that would be sent to me the day before my arrival date, and that an access code to the building and lock box would also be sent to me the day before my arrival, as soon as I submitted the form. On the day before my arrival however I had not heard from the owner/manager, and come the evening I found myself needing to chase what was happening. All worked out ok in the end, come the day of my arrival, but the inconsistent messaging did cause an issue, and a bit of stress, that should have been able to have been avoided.

The heating did not work, it was winter and it was very cold. I also tried calling the emergency number several times but no one picked up.
