“Superb apartment in a superb location.”

The best

The hosts where extremely helpful and the location overlooking the valley is superb. The entrance hall and lift to the apartment were very clean and tidy. The living room, bedrooms are reasonably spacious and comfortable. The whole apartment was inviting and the patio especially so. Car parking on the wide road outside was a bonus for Velez Blanco, never had any difficulty finding space.

To be improved

The shower cubical could do with a bit of tidying and redecoration and for us Brit's a kettle to boil water in would be very helpful.Pouring boiling water from a pan with a loose handle was a bi tricky when making our tea! 😀

“Quiet modern apartment in a picturesque town with amazing sunrise.”

The best

Quiet, modern apartment conveniently located on the road into the town center. We really enjoyed our stay here. We appreciated having good wifi, which is not always the case in Spanish towns. The view from the “attic” is amazing, and the small outside terrace is perfect for watching the spectacular sunrise over distant mountains. There is a picturesque Renaissance castle towering over the town, which is worth a visit. A local tapas bar about 5 minutes away has great tapas. For some prehistory, you can arrange a visit (in advance) with the Centro de Visitantes to the Los Letreros cave, which has some of the best preserved painted figures from the Neolithic and Copper Age.

To be improved

Tall people will have to watch their heads in some spots to avoid bumping into the slanted attic ceilings (e.g. in the bathroom) but we adjusted to it. The door was a little hard to find at first because our map app was confused by the street’s odd numbering.

Self-catering, so breakfast, lunch and dinners were excellent. Fab views of the area. Good shower and lots of hot water. Good size rooms. Generally well appointed except for lack of dining table & chairs indoors (balcony had table + chairs, but not useful in winter. Small but adequate shops in village & large Coviran in nearby Maria. Great bar/coffee shop/panaderia at the other end of the village

To be improved

Booking.com stated NO WIFI so I didn't bring my laptop. But when I arrived I found Wifi was there. WRONG INFO from Booking.com Bad marks :-(
