“Great holiday accommodation”

The best

Location. Galdar. Accommodation for two offers a large amount of space. WiFi. Shower, always hot water available. Large fridge. Kitchen equipment. Comfortable bed. General decor and ambience. General lighting. Bed side reading lights. Easy walk into town centre. Proximity of food shops. Proximity of bus transport links.

To be improved

Nothing to dislike. Note to owners: loo cistern internal shut-off valve malfunctions. Egg cups for breakfast boiled eggs would be nice. Unable to buy any in local shops so maybe not a Canarian thing.

There is no lift, so you have to walk up 4 flights of stairs, not a problem for me, but if you have difficulties with stairs be aware.

Spacious apartment. There is filter installed in the kitchen, so drinking water is available at any time straight from the separate tap. Coffee capsules for provided for 1 use, which was handy. Good location: next to the center and close to the beach (20min walk or 5 min drive). Parking was easy either on the street or in the paid parking space (1eur for 5h). Wifi was working well and it was helpful as cellular signal was either weak or non-existent. Communication with the host quick and easy, checkin and checkout smooth.

To be improved

It was quite chilly in the apartment (December) and blankets (bed covers) that were available didn't keep warmth so well. Pillows were uncomfortable for sleeping - ended up with the headache in the mornings. So, I would recommend putting proper blankets with cover sheets and change pillows. We were missing toaster, but ended up using pan for this purpose. Keep in mind that to get to the apartment you have to go though the narrow staircase.
