El Grumete

I have so many good things to say about this property. I found the location central to all of the things to do and see in Santander— the funicular, Cabo Mayor, the main beaches, Palacio de la Magdalena, and downtown. The apartment itself was spacious and looked newly renovated. Everything looked clean, new and white.There were lots of outlets, shelf space, closet space with lots of hangers, a nice cabinet in the bathroom for toiletries, lots of towel hooks. The two beds were large and comfy, with nice clean white linens. There was great water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom and a nice shower with lots of hot water. There is a nice kitchen will all the pots and pans, dishes, tableware you’ll need to cook and eat in the unit. Also in the kitchen is a clothes washer and a clothes line outside the window with pins. There was nice fast internet. The host and his mother are quickly responsive to messages The network of streets and pathways is a little confusing outside of the building. If you turn left out of the main door you’ll get to Avenida de los Castros where there are nearby small restaurants and a Carrefour express grocery mart. If you turn right out of the main door, first you’ll get to Calle Fernando de los Rios where you can find a Dia grocery store about 8 min walk away and a bigger Lupa 9 minutes away. Beyond C. F de los Rios you’ll come to P.o del Gral. Davila and crossing that a route down to the commercial District, the bus and train station and the water. Turn left and you will come to the funicular which is free. It’s a short ride but the views of the city are great.
