Really nice and comfy casita in a very beautiful surrounding. Well equipped and with a fireplace (besides central heating). This is the perfect base to explore the area from. The owner is very friendly and helpful too.

We had a wonderful time at El Jiniebro! Before arriving the owner sent us all information about the place by Whatsapp and we could check in by ourselves when we got there (we booked Casa Llano de Anta). The house is very comfortable, was spotless clean and the 2 air conditioners kept us cool (even chilly if put too high) while it was close to 40C degrees outside. The pool is clean and cool and the surroundings are quiet and stunningly beautiful! The area is perfect for hiking or mountain biking. The kitchen is basic (2 pits) but has all the essentials you need to make dinner for 3 people. The beds are a bit short but comfortable.

DO not book this accommodation if you have any mobility issues, there are no handrails anywhere and to get to the house we booked was very steep even for a fit person. There is no wifi, even though we received a text confirming that the internet had a "good" signal. The pool has VERY slippery tiles when getting out, be very careful these tiles are not textured. Very bad customer service when we flagged up our issues, incredibly unhelpful and rude. This complaint was reported to Booking.com on our return but this accommodation did not want to know. Funny enough we received very friendly texts in English prior to our arrival, but when we reported our issues, all the responses were in Spanish, completely unprofessional. AVOID!!!! We only stayed one night out of the 7 we had paid for, as it was totally unsuitable for my husband who walks with a walking stick due to a stroke. The accommodation knew that he was disabled as we enquired if the accommodation was on one floor before our arrival.They failed to mention that there was limited access, but they were happy to take our money prior to our arrival. We found a fabulous alternative a few hours away and enjoyed the rest of our holiday with fantastic, professional, trained staff.

“Excellent place to relax”

it is a lovely quiet location. the houses are comfortable and the bed excellent. the surrounding countryside is fascinating with Neolithic dolmens and interesting villages. we will come again

the first time we came it was June… very hot but the pool was empty. this time we came it was very hot … the pool was full but green!!!

“Fantastic”

The best

Perfect for relaxing and resting, its a cluster of traditional extremaduran houses with modern comforts. Beautiful views. You can spend hours on the porch just watching the birds and enjoying the views. Super nice lady caretaker. Very clean and well kept. Super friendly cats roamning around.

To be improved

No wifi in room due to being located near a mountain range. Mibile data works fine (movistar).
