El piso de Valle-Inclán

I regret to say that my experience with this host was extremely disappointing. I would not give even one star for this accommodation. The reservation was mistakenly made for two people, but I immediately contacted the host to inform her that there would be seven guests. Unfortunately, the Booking.com app did not provide an option to edit or change the number of guests. The host responded that she could legally accommodate up to six people, and we agreed that six of us would stay at the property. At no point did she inform me of any changes in the price or suggest that I cancel and re-book for six guests. According to the Booking.com policy, guests are advised to contact the host if changes cannot be made through the app, which I did. However, upon our arrival, the host refused to accommodate us, claiming she had not been informed that there would be six guests, despite the fact that I had proof of our communication on my phone. Ultimately, we were required to pay an additional €200 on top of the €176 already paid. Throughout this process, there was no apology or acknowledgment of our situation. This experience felt very much like a scam, especially given the high number of Camino pilgrims in the area. Additionally, one of the beds was infested with bed bugs, and one of our group members was bitten all over his body. This was unacceptable and further contributed to our dissatisfaction.

The water tank is small so 6 adults can’t have hot showers after each other. This is as issue if walking the Camino as everyone needs to shower on arrival. Also front bedroom has no shutters and very thin curtains and a light opposite, luckily we had eye mask otherwise person in that room woukd have had light all night and no sleep.
