El Riad Andaluz

We had a pleasant stay at El Riad Andulaz, a quirky and characterful guesthouse tucked away on a quiet pedestrian street in Málaga. The area felt safe and the location was excellent, with the Picasso Birthplace Museum, cafés, bars and the main attractions all within easy reach. Our room was small but functional and worked well for a short stay. The bathroom was ok and did what we needed. Some of the décor throughout the property could benefit from a refresh, although the Moroccan‑influenced touches and riad‑style layout gave the place a distinctive charm. The courtyard was cute and atmospheric, although it could use a bit of tidying, and the humid heat meant a few flies around the plants. The resident cat was delightful! The front desk was helpful, especially when it came to restaurant recommendations. We chose this place after reading a Telegraph review and found their description accurate. It is a little quirky and not aimed at travellers seeking luxury, but it offers good, basic, budget‑friendly accommodation with plenty of character.

The location of this riad was much better than expected and less than 5 minutes walk from the centre of the old town. Area is lively and safe, plenty of food options around. My room was on the first floor, overlooking the very narrow street - a bit disconcerting to look out of the window and see someone staring back from opposite! The first night I slept well but the second night was noisy from partygoers in the street below and the shouts of people walking home. My room consisted of a bed, bedside table and some shelving, that was it. No TV, safe or fridge. There was a kettle and mugs downstairs. The negatives - there was just one very hard and uncomfortable pillow. The shower was rubbish with no spray or pressure. Also, I woke up with bites all over - not sure if mozzies or the dreaded BBs…. All in all, fine for a night or two.

very good room is minimal but pretty mich what you need they clean sheets and empty bin everyday for you which is helpful, can get a balcony room overlooking the street below, location is close enough to centre and supermarket that you can get what you need, kettle is available but not cooking appliances so bear in mind, front desk is very kind helps a lot

Just a good place for short time.

Everything was done with great attention to detail. The place is beautiful. And just being able to check-in with an actual person that can give you travel tips and is taking care that you enjoy your stay is like a breath of fresh air.
