The flat itself was okay, which is why I’m giving it a 1/10. But everything else was a nightmare, especially the host’s attitude. Some disadvantages of the flat: • You come in directly from the street, so literally you enter directly into the living room and have very little privacy when entering the flat. • One of the rooms doesn’t have a window with an exit outside. Instead, it is directed to the entrance hall of the building, and you can hear everything happening there event when it’s closed. • Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a proper sleep because of the neighbors upstairs. It felt like they were moving furniture every night, and we could hear everything happening in the flat above, including a very loud TV all night long. Other than that, “technically” the flat is fine. Host’s attitude: • We had an electricity outage because apparently you can’t have the lights, TV, oven, and stove on at the same time. We contacted the host, and she came to the flat to fix it. Instead of focusing on fixing the electricity, she aggressively accused us of having an unregistered visitor in the flat (who was actually one of the registered guests, whom she couldn’t recognize). She demanded 630€ for this, which she directly requested over Booking without even talking to us. All of this happened during the time we didn’t have electricity. • Later that night, the host contacted us again to complain about how we organized our belongings in the flat (e.g., dry towels were hanging on a chair). • We noticed neighbors taking pictures of us on different occasions, which seems like part of an organized scheme between the host and neighbors. After we checked out and left the flat in perfect condition (documented with a video), the host contacted us with ridiculous allegations, claiming we stole six small towels, broke a wine glass, and damaged some other small items. This is completely false—we flew in with hand luggage and had no need to steal anything.
