“Great location, but facilities and management lacking”

The best

The property has clearly underdone extensive renovation works and looks fresh/smart inside. The best thing about the house though is its location, just a 2 minute walk to the main square and an abundance of restaurants and shops.

To be improved

On arrival with a 4 month old late at night, the cot hadn’t been set up and no cot sheets in the house (these were dropped off the following day, but no apology for the cot not being set up - pretty awful travel cot too, would recommend bringing your own if you have an infant). Our biggest disappointment however, was finding out there were no BBQ facilities, although advertised at the time of booking and during our stay. The management company advised that they couldn’t be provided, and that they shouldn’t be advertised, but no good will gesture or attempt to rectify. The photos also don’t show the same furniture that is currently in the house, for example there are no sun loungers so the pool is pretty pointless in my opinion (and it was freezing and quite dirty). The lounge is separate from the house, which we knew at the time of booking, but actually, in hindsight, it’s pretty inconvenient, especially with a little one. There was also a few smaller issues, lighting not working/flashing and the second shower not working properly, as well as the house not being overly clean on arrival (crumbs in sink and generally a little dusty). The management team didn’t reply to my last email, so we got in touch with booking.com who were great (thanks booking.com). Overall, it’s a nice enough house, but i wouldn’t recommend or stay again, and I certainly wouldn’t stay with two couples.
