“Small apartment in the heart of Madrid, walking distance to almost everything”

The apartment is in the Lavapiés neighborhood. It is a bustling, diverse, centrally located neighborhood. You can easily walk to Sol, Parque el Retiro, Jardines Reales, Atocha Station and many museums. There is plenty of restaurants of varied cuisine within a 10mkn walk. There’s also corner stores, supermarkets, and African, Indian clothing stores nearby. The property is a small apartment that has everything you need for your stay: elevator, AC (that you can regulate to your liking), big shower, dishwasher, washing machine. Easy process for checking in and out. Luis and Liliana were amazing at getting the property ready for our short-notice arrival (after another property became unavailable and cancelled on us at the very last minute). The apartment was clean and fresh with the AC in the middle of a heatwave. They were communicating often to ensure our stay was great.

To be improved

An extra set of keys for the apartment would be useful. With friends going separate ways, it was tricky to coordinate the one set of keys.

“Ideal Short Stay”

Clean and bright accommodation. Location excellent for restaurants and metro.

I guess the only thing there was no view or out look on anything but we were out most of the time so not a huge issue.

“Awful, find another place.”

The location was ok. However it was an old, run down neighborhood.

To be improved

The main building was a construction site and the apartment was partially redone. However there was dust, plaster on the floor. The elevator didn’t work the first day. The building is a construction site. The hot water heater was non-functional. We were told that is ran out quickly but less than 5 minutes was all we got of tepid water. The apartment was not reasonable habitable.

“Excellent location.”

The best

Location excellent for getting around and local sights. Host was helpful when eventually managed to make contact.

To be improved

It’s very small and needs updating particularly in the bathroom and cleaning could be more thorough. Basic things to make stay more comfortable would be helpful ie hand soap.
