“The apartment was clean and comfortable in a great central location, we had a great stay in Burgos.”

It had everything we needed and provided an ideal base for us to enjoy the Dance World Cup and the culture of Burgos. We had been provided an incorrect key code for the apartment door, but a quick call to the host on arrival and it was all sorted! Very helpful. Great central location within easy walking distance to Evolución Fórum and the historic side of the city with its incredible cathedral. Lots to see and do. The apartment was a good size even for 2 adults and 2 kids (they shared the sofa bed), a fridge which was clean and kept plenty of water and food chilled! After a trip to one of the markets, it had an Iron and ironing board, TV with Netflix and plenty of windows to keep the breeze flowing. There was a fan which helped as well. A washing machine and pretty much anything else we thought we might need.

To be improved

Not so much an issue with the apartment, however, it is let down a bit by the lack of elevator and the 100 steps to climb (each way!), the smells in the hallway were a bit much! A warm sewerage smell, especially as you get to the bottom of the stairs. Not great.

“No lift, no aircon, poor building maintenance”

The apartment itself was ok it was very clean. The issue was that it was on the 5th floor with no lift or air conditioning. Also the building and entry were very old and delapitated and entering the building and then apartment was hard to understand initially .

It was on the fifth floor with no lift or air conditioning. Very old and uncared for building.

“Pleasant”

The best

The flat was in a good location and had everything that we needed. The shower was excellent -hot and powerful. The bed was comfortable. It was warm in the flat and there was a heater if we needed it.

To be improved

There are 10 flights of stairs to get up to the 5th floor and no elevator. This is difficult if you have heavy luggage or mobility problems. We were told in an email that on arrival we should push a button to open the main door. We couldn't find the button and we had to push the button of every flat until someone answered and could let us in. This was at 8pm and it was raining, so not very pleasant! We were staying in the flat for 2 nights and over that time received 12 emails from the owner. We had to translate all of them and most were saying the same thing.

“After being on the Camino for awhile, a break in the city of Burgos was nice.”

The location was excellent. Easy to get around the old city by foot. We could cook and wash clothes. Just chill out for a few days. Loved the red fridge.😊

Nothing. Everything was new.
