“Beautiful apartment in a great area”

The best

The apartment is spacious and calm, with lots of natural light and large windows facing out to a quiet street. The area is fantastic, with plenty to do on the doorstep. The sofa is comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, and beds comfy. We stayed for 2.5 weeks and enjoyed it very much.

To be improved

We did travel in off season but some maintenance could be done - the bathrooms often had a strange smell, the kitchen floorboard was not attached, etc. Also, we had to buy some basics like dishwasher tablets and surface cleaner which should already be in a rental.

The location is great, the flat is very clean.

To be improved

The location is great, very clean. However, we were there during the hot weather and the property only has 2 portable AC which is very loud and does not cool properly because the flat is way big for 2 portable AC. We were unable to have a comfortable sleep due to the heat plus the noise from the AC.

The best

It is a nice apartment in a fantastic location, walking distance from everything in the historic centre of Madrid. Good facilities and excellent communication with the host. The internal lay out worked well for us (3 adults). The host was responsive. Good price for space.

To be improved

It was covered in scaffolding and netting for renovations. This made it dark (and quite dusty after a day or so), although it was spotless when we arrived. There were men working literally outside the small balcony and building debris on the balcony. We couldn’t see any view or use the balconies. I had booked this apartment partly for the balconies, to watch the world go by and enjoy the view so this was very disappointing and annoyed me all week. The hosts should have informed us of this and I would have changed the booking as the outdoor view is very important to me on a city break.
