Encantador Puente Segovia Caramuel

It was very small. Much smaller than the photos had you believe. Was a nice place though so im just being picky..

The doors to the apartment were extremely frustrating. We would have to account for an extra 15 minutes when leaving and arriving because the locks on the doors were so difficult. Additionally, we broke a key which we are charged for. While this is valid, we would not have broken it if the locks worked properly. Additionally, the hosts communicated with me through booking.com and WhatsApp, but as soon as I asked how much the charge was for the key they stopped responding on WhatsApp. Finally, there were signs posted everywhere that renting to tourists was recently banned in that neighborhood of Madrid. We did not have any problems with this, but we did recieve many dirty looks.

On top of being very small, the bed was like a hammock - we would slide to the middle and not have any space at all. The mattress definitely has seen better days. The sheets were stained, I do like to believe they were gchanged before our arrival, but am not convinced. There were hairs stuck to the bathroom tiles upon our arrival - not sure if anyone cleaned the bathroom at all, as if they have they would have noticed that the sink is getting clogged if you put on the water. The space is also super dark - there is 0 natural light coming in, so you have to have the lights on all the time. Last but not least- the whole communication with the host is in Spanish which is pretty annoying considering it is a bunch of generic messages which are sent to each visitor - it should not be so difficult to get them translated.
