The location is really good other than that it is not good. The communication with the owner is like a nightmare. He/she will not pickup the phone and not helpful at all. The bed sheets, the blankets and towels are stink and so bad. The shower drain is blocked the water is not running smooth. Also the toilet door is hard to close. Anyone who does care about the location and not the property then this is the right place to choose.

We checked into the apartment late at night on May 8th, and our stay was paid through May 14th. However, we were shocked by the condition of the property and had no choice but to leave on the morning of May 10th — it was simply impossible to stay there. When we arrived, we had trouble understanding the instructions for how to access the apartment. We called and messaged the host for help, but received no response. Eventually, we managed to get inside on our own. Unfortunately, what we found was completely unacceptable. The floors were filthy, the walls were stained, and there was a large puddle of water in the bathroom from a leaking water heater. The only warm water was in the shower; the sinks had only cold water. The shower itself was covered in mold, the tray was dirty, and there was hair left in it. The water didn’t drain properly. There was no liquid soap in the dispenser. The bed linen was stained and looked unwashed. The kitchen was in a terrible state — the stove was greasy, all the surfaces were sticky and stained, and every utensil was dirty. The sink was clogged with standing water. The dining table was sticky and covered in grease. Lighting in the apartment was extremely poor, with only two very small and dim bulbs. The windows faced a wall, making the entire space feel claustrophobic and gloomy. It was a deeply unpleasant environment, not suitable for any guest, especially for a family with children. We left early on the morning of May 9th for planned activities, and after spending another night in those conditions, we packed up and left the apartment on May 10th. It was simply unbearable to stay any longer. We are requesting a full refund due to the completely unacceptable and unhygienic living conditions. This experience caused us great stress and discomfort, and we hope for fair and prompt compensation.

Location was really good, just 5-10 minute walk to various popular sites around Madrid. Lots of restaurants, tapas bars, grocery stores within a street away. The property had a washing machine.
My biggest concern about it this stay is that the property owner never communicated or responded to my concerns the moment after I checked in. My concerns: 1 ) The most concerning is we stayed during the April 28 blackout. The access to the building is through an app or button that electronically activates the locking/unlocking mechanism of the building front door. During the power outage, we wanted to leave the building to get food, but quickly realized we couldn’t because the unlocking mechanism was no longer working (needed power). I quickly messaged this concern asking if there was a manual key or backdoor, but no response even to this day. Luckily a random resident saw us and she had a key to let us out. Understood there was limited cell service but it did regain some a few hours later. I asked again if there was something they could help us with to get back in the house after we got food, but no response. We just got lucky getting in again, but it’s a terrible thing to not be able to communicate with the owner/property rep. 2 ) We arrived close to midnight, and the unit did not have any toilet paper. We looked in all the cabinets and drawers and nothing. I texted the owner about this, but no response. We ended up purchasing toilet paper that night, thankful for a nearby 24hr grocery store. 3 ) The toilet leaked every time you flush. I communicated this but no response. We kept a towel on the floor but had to wash it because it was getting dirty and we weren’t supplied any more (floor) towels.
