The cleaning was not done properly. We found a lot of hair and dirt from previous people throughout the apartment, in several textiles including our towels. Despite having a no-pet-policy we also found pet hair, especially on the couch and I had an allergic reaction. The host wasn't helpful, he didn't offer anything (e.g. sending a cleaning team), denied everything, putting it off as just a little bit of dirt and only minor things. Also, he threatened to charge us extra because we had to move the contaminated couch to the balcony so my allergy would become better, lamenting the expansiveness of it, and putting the blame on me for not telling him about my allergy. The couch was full of pet hair and we even found a toenail of someone in there, that thing was not cleaned at all. None of the textiles used in this apartment are at least 60°C washable, the bedsheets are cold-wash and the towels 40°C which is pretty unhygienic. This should not occur regardless of whether people have an allergy or not, basic cleanliness is always a must. No guest should have to do cleaning work, especially not for that price! After I spent two days cleaning and washing to remove the dirt it was acceptable and luckily my allergy became manageable, which also proved to me that the textiles were not properly washed. Never had trouble in normally cleaned places.
