When we arrived the water and electricity were turned off, consequently the place was cold and damp. We were instructed to locate the isolation points and switch back on. The beds were unmade, quilt covers and old sheets were provided for us to make the beds ourselves but there were no quilts, just blankets. After switching on the electricity, it kept cutting out. A helpful neighbour came and located the external meter about 30m away from the house, which we would never have found without his help, to switch back on. However, electricity continued to cut out numerous times. The kitchen, although modern had no windows and the door to what would have been the external utility area had been removed. The utility area was damp and the kitchen was dark, cold and damp. The main bedroom has a terrace off, but access to this wasn’t possible due to the positioning of the bed The whole place felt dirty and as though it hadn’t been used in a while. We didn’t even stay the night and moved somewhere else. We contacted Booking.com who requested cancellation of the fee, however they have advised us that the owners have not even responded to them.
