“A good stopover for our travels”

We stayed for a couple of nights during winter and despite the rainy weather, we enjoyed our stay. The apartment is spacious, we didn’t go onto the roof terrace as the weather was bad, but the extra space it gives especially in good weather would be great. The bed was clean and very comfortable. The sofa and beds have nice light quilted covers over them. There’s one bathroom with a showerhead over the bath and a shower room. The heating was good and appreciated. Large fridge freezer and ice provided which we also appreciated. WiFi was poor, couldn’t access the internet at all with the WiFi. We had good mobile service so we used that instead. It’s a 5g area. There is secure parking and we were ok parking in the very small bay as there wasn’t another car beside us. This could be an issue if you don’t have a very small car. There was no extra charge for our dog or for parking.

To be improved

Parts of the apartment are in need of work. There are a lot of cracked floor tiles and the balcony needs painting to refresh. There’s no shower screen in the bathroom. The cooker and microwave are old and worn. There’s a lack of good kitchen utensils. The ones provided are old and worn and stored in an upright holder so it’s difficult to find what you need. There’s loads of cupboard space in the lounge so a tray for utensils could be better. The bottle opener is rusty and needs replacing too. It would have been good to have a cosy throw available in the lounge too, during winter.
