The best

Spacious. Ideal for a three generation family stay. Kids loved the pool and the games room. We absolutely loved the space- house hide and seek was fun. Clean and comfortable. Well equipped. Shampoo, shower gel, dishwasher and washing machine tablets provided, plus a small amount of washing up liquid. We bought some cleaning supplies. Communication from host was good- easy access instructions. Garage easily parked two cars. Puerto de Santiago is a relatively quiet resort, which is why we chose it- away from the hustle and bustle areas. Fantastic views of La Gomera ( which we took a day trip to) from balcony. Playa Arena is not really a swimming area but Puerto de Santiago playa is better or Playa San Juan is a ten minute drive.

To be improved

There was nothing we didn’t like. Only suggestion would be a second set of keys would be useful. Would we return…? Definitely!

The house was very clean and spacious. Our children played with toys (trains, balls) and loved to swim. The pool was heated. The kitchen had everything you need.

To be improved

Upon arrival we were startled by an house alarm that we were not warned about. It went on several times, making the kids cry, until we removed the batteries on it ourselves. We also communicated with the owner at the same time. Owner was very helpful! We didn't let it spoil our vacation and enjoyed the following days. The window and door shutters felt a bit unsafe.

“Great villa, good location, hiring a car definitely worthwhile.”

The best

The villa was spacious and the outdoor space excellent. The service from the local team was great, very friendly and helpful. It was a short walk to a good selection of restaurants and an easy drive to the shopping malls, beaches, boat trips and water park.

To be improved

There was some noise from the neighbouring property and the aqua aerobics taking place at the hotel across the road, but nothing that would stop us booking again.

“After a rocky start, we ended up having the most loveliest of stays!”

The villa could not have been more perfect! The pictures don’t do it justice - it really is Stunning. The property is huge, spotlessly clean, perfectly equipped and just all-round amazing! The pool was heated and super clean and a lovely man came half way through to top the chlorine up. The outdoors was perfect for us to do walking laps around the villa ground with the pushchairs- so much space inside and out! The kids enjoyed the Netflix and wifi and the sun loungers were super comfy around the pool. The awning around the outside table was a Perfect added touch as it really did get super hot! The fake-grass was comfy for the babies to crawl around too. The master suite… oh my goodness it was just STUNNING!!! Huge games room downstairs was brilliant although the weather was so lovely, we barely went down there.

When we arrived we were shown around and then told to pay €200 cash as a deposit for any damages. I refused on the basis of nothing stated we needed to pay anything extra and I wasn’t going to hand over cash to anyone. The man from the management company was very insistent and then tried to charge us for a late check in! Again I refused and after quite an uncomfortable lengthily discussion he eventually gave up and left. The area is VERY hilly, so whilst there is lots around, it’s quite hard work to just ‘pop out’. Finally, we needed darts! There was only 1 dart so we couldn’t play darts as a family, but this was a minor thing.
