“Great Experience at Estival Islantilla”

The best

The efficiency and friendliness of the staff, the variety of the buffet and the different themed gastronomic nights, the pools with activities for children and adults (e.g., slides). Comfort and cleanliness of the room. The hotel's attention in providing a welcome gift left in the room with a friendly welcome message. The overall cleanliness of the hotel and the use of recyclable cups with many collection points scattered throughout the hotel. The proximity to the beach, literally 50 meters from the hotel.

To be improved

Despite the variety in the lunch and dinner buffet, the food was not very tasty, but nothing that negatively impacted the experience significantly. The breakfast could have more variety. The gym needs air conditioning and towels.

“excellent first family stay.”

The best

The food was brilliant and a great selection. The hotel was clean, even the public toilets. The setup for kids was excellent. The location for beach and shops was very handy.

To be improved

Some of the older staff members could be more friendly and helpful. The younger ones were very helpful and cheerful. I didnt like the hidden cost of the indoor pool especially cost for toddlers. Plus there was no one to monitor the pool so older kids where doing what they wanted around families with babies and small kids, even thou the rules state a quite and relaxing pool with no jumping diving running etc etc.

Clean and tidy Nice location A little far from the airport but this didn't really affect our group, Got a little busy towards the end of our stay.

To be improved

Bar area was quite small fir amount of guests.

“Nice hotel, but food is too basic”

The best

The garden and pool area are beautiful and great for kids. Good size rooms with small kitchen. Everything was very clean. Very friendly staff across all areas of the hotel.

To be improved

The food lacks quality ingredients, which is the biggest downside of the hotel. They mainly use frozen vegetables and fish, which is a shame because the Huelva area is known for it´s seafood and agriculture. The meat is limited to chicken and stews, but in no occasion there were quality base products used. The chefs do their best to put tasteful meals on the table, which often worked out ok. However, their cutting costs on the food is the only reason why I won´t repeat my visit to this hotel.

“Overall, we really enjoy it - even though we had a not so warm weather during our stay - but the hotel staff, the excell”

The best

Super clean, excellent food, different types of pools (that was a must for us with small kids - it would have been really perfect if the water was a bit warmer), super nice staff. The hotel is beautiful especially outside with the palm trees, the swimming pools, the lights at night and the direct access to the beautiful sandy beach is a must for long walks. Great activities for kids : Kids Club, Mini Disco, night show.

To be improved

Bedroom was in need of a bit of maintenance : the door to the balcony could not close properly so we could not let our kids sleep in the sofa bed as we were afraid they could open the door + when it was windy, it made a lot of noise. The switch to switch off the light on the balcony was not working so the light was always on. The swimming pools are too cold. Our kids were literally freezing after 15min in the pool.
