To far from the town and upon arrival we received an unfriendly welcome that made us a little uncomfortable.

“After weeks of hostels, this hotel room was a welcome change. The room was big, bright, and cool, and the bathroom had a nice shower. The building isn't much to look at... a bit of an industrial look to the place, and none of the charm that you'd find in some other locations. That said, it's clean and quiet. · Cons: Be warned, this location isn't in town. It's about a 10 minute walk back to town for restaurants and shops. The benefit though is that it's right on the camino, so you're 10 minutes ahead when you start out again in the morning!”

Be warned, this location isn't in town. It's about a 10 minute walk back to town for restaurants and shops. The benefit though is that it's right on the camino, so you're 10 minutes ahead when you start out again in the morning!

The best

Clean and functional in a town which has little in terms of charm or facilities. The building looks like a factory but it’s spotlessly clean and the staff are nice.

To be improved

Located in an industrial area and pretty unattractive in appearance. Have stayed in Palas de Rey twice on Camino walks. Always look forward to getting out of it. The town makes nothing of its pivotal location on the Camino.

“Comfortable, excellent staff but not in main town.”

Right off El Camino, good AC, quiet/good soundproofing, big room & bathroom, USB charge port (no converter needed.) Best was OUTSTANDING STAFF - thanks to team's kind & caring help at night when I got sick, wouldn't have made it w/o them. Tradeoff -20 min walk to Pilgrim Mass & main town is a bit long, but you're further down the Camino next morning.

No outdoor clothesline area.

Quiet location, shower was spacious and easy to control water knobs and has a place to put your own soap/shampoo.

To be improved

Far from restaurants and shops, very small bedside table and small dining table. washing machine only available on the ground floor, would have been better if every floor has one. No microwave. no place to hang wet clothes.
