Location is good. Close to markets, Metro, center. Owner was helpful in communication in English.

First of all, this is not a 1-bedroom apartment. It is a "Studio". Single room with bed and the kitchen and bathroom. Bed was not really comfortable and firm, It was sinking with weight at least on my side. We rotated the bed thinking it will be gone but no. Bed Pillow sheets were smelly. Towels were smelly. We had to wash them in the noisy washer. Washer needs to be replaced. Apartment smelled strange and unnatural, especially noticeable when you enter the apartment from outside because we think, old paint or something is being stored inside the kitchen cabinets. Bathroom fan needs to be replaced with a silent fan. It is very noisy when operated. Room is very dark during daytime because the only window in the room looks inside the building hallway. Even though the apartment is located in the back opposing the street, especially at night, people talking loudly until morning hours can be heard, especially when window is kept open. Price was very expensive, maybe because Madrid is expensive. Overall, this was equivalent to 1- or 2-star hotel.

It was a pleasant experience! The apartment has privacy, extremely central, with many supermarkets nearby, very clean and equipped with everything you need. The owner is very kind and always prompt. I will definitely come back!

“Great place to feel the heart of Madrid”

We were very satisfied with our stay at Apartmento en el corazon de Malasaña. The location of the apartment is amazing. It is close to all top attractions, which are within 20 min walking distance. The apartment is very clean and cosy. It’s just 4 min from metro, and there many places to eat out nearby. On top of it, the host, Juanma is a lovely person, very caring and helpful. The communication with him via whatsapp was excellent throughout our stay and he gave us many useful tips about Madrid. The place is very quiet making it perfect for rest after an active day. The apartment doesn’t have plenty of daylight, but it didn’t bother us. Good price-standard ratio. If we visit Madrid again, we will surely return here.
