Eureka ! Calle el Roque, urbanización la Caracola. Corralejo, Fuerteventura

We were really looking forward to arriving at the villa, and im sad to say, i was dissapointed from the start. Theres a building site right in front of the property. Noisy and times, and not the best to look at. If im honest, apart from all the gadgets in the house, i felt it was all a bit dated nd needed lots of TLC. The front gate needed painting, there was old stuff stored in the archway by the front door. They key safe was very old, there was an empty hanging basket by the front door, these things dont make for great curb appeal. Once inside it was ok, but all the lights are very dim, so it makes it feel a bit dark, particularly downstairs. The upstairs shower is very old and the door to that bathroom doesnt shut properly. But, all the toiletries etc you could wish for. As ive said, the kitchen had everything you could wish for, there was a problem with a leak under the sink. We couldnt use it for one night, but they fixed it the next day, which was great. The pool needs alot of work. There were some broken tiles, and the tiles are not non-slip, my son fell quite badly after trying to get in the pool, but it was way too cold. The pool could do with a lick of paint and there was a light green stain all around the top. The draws are all quite difficult to open and shut and again, it felt very dark downstairs. The layout of the villa isnt made clear in the photos, it just wasnt what we were expecting, just dated, needs some work and dark in places, and it would have been nice to have been told about the building work. We did actually change to another location for the last three nights of our six night holiday.

Shower cubicle in upstairs bathroom is very small and dated.
