“More of a three rather than four star hotel.”

Not quite sure how this is a four star hotel. Our room was ok but more basic (the bathroom especially) than we expected. There were no added comforts as such (kettle, cups, tea/coffee, slippers, bath robes) and the towels were worn, one with a pretty big hole in it. We were surprised also that there was no swimming pool. We didn’t pay an extra £25 per night for a sea view and our room therefore looked out over the car park, which was really noisy throughout the night. The hotel is located a good 30 mins walk to the old town but it’s a nice walk along the coastal path. The breakfast was pretty good - a large buffet which was replenished regularly.

“Worn hotel with a grand view”

The best

Hearing the sound of the waves from our room in the morning and at night, the view, the walk along the coast (Menhires, Hercules, sea promenade).

To be improved

The hotel, furniture, and carpet in the hall is dated, worn. This is no 4 star hotel. The mattress was not satisfactory and bounced like crazy when my husband rolled over. We would never have stayed here except for being on the water. For the same price, we were able to stay at far finer and more luxurious places elsewhere in Galicia. This hotel was a disappointment.

“Very nice Hotel, I'd stay here again, but keep in mind, you'll need to cab to the center of the city”

The best

Very nice hotel, comfortable rooms, nice restaurant in the lobby, breakfast was very good, we did have dinner there one night and it was very good as well. The Hotel, however, is not walking distance from Downtown, and the closest attraction, Hercules Tower, is walkable, but a good 15-20 minutes, Spectacular views to the ocean from the boardwalk behind the hotel leading to the Tower of Hercules. But, if you're going downtown or to the Raizor Stadium, you need a cab. If you have a rental car, plenty of parking around the hotel which is free and safe.

Good room with sea view. Excellent breakfast. Really pleasant and helpful staff . Nothing too much trouble.

To be improved

Would have liked gym to open at 8am not 9. More interesting and local menu for dinner would have been appreciated.
