Eurostars Puerta Real

We had booked a three-night stay from 5/02/2026 to 8/02/2026 Due to one of our relatives’s SUDDEN passing on 4/02, we could not travel to Granada. I tried to cancel the reservation on the hotel website, but it did not work, therefore I contacted them via email, explaining the circumstances. They replied that I could not cancel the reservation free of charge, as this was possible until 2/02. They offered us a date change (to be made within 48 hours), but, given the situation we were facing, that was not acceptable for us, of course. I tried to explain our situation to them once again, but to no avail, they simply replied by sending me the invoice for our “non stay”, and by charging my credit card for the WHOLE amount. I may understand you cannot agree on a free cancellation, but a different solution could be certainly found. WAS A ONE-NIGHT PENALTY REALLY NOT APPLICABLE?!?!?! WHAT A SHAME….!!!! AFTER ALL, WE ARE DEALING WITH SPAIN AND THE SPANIARD, we all should not expect anything but unkindness and rudeness… Please stay away from this awful hotel, if you really need to travel to Granada (which I really recommend that you all do NOT)!!!! Very nice hotel with a great location. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and the neighborhood is very safe. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They spoke English very well and gave great suggestions of restaurants and attractions. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the hotel breakfast everyday. Lots of options and my favorite was the fresh fruit. My only issue was we were given a room that didn’t have working AC/heating in the room. So when we brought it up to the reception, they didn’t treat it with any type of urgency or offer us a new room. We told them we’d be out of the room all day the next day so if they could send a maintenance person to look at it then, and that is ultimately what happened. As someone who has worked the hospitality industry, that should have been their first suggestion, not ours as guests.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and quiet room in a great central location in Granada, close to all the main attractions. Very good breakfast. There is a car park close by that the hotel provides a discount for.

Perfect location, good staff, scenic room. They even let us checkin early and kept our bags after checkout.
