“Great location and wonderful hotel restaurant.”

The best

It is in a great location with just a short walk to reach the main town. The restaurant has an exceptional plant based evening menu and a good breakfast selection that is not just plant based. Comfortable beds, good air con and very quiet. The staff were very helpful.

To be improved

The spa has very limited opening hours and is expensive as if you only stay 1 night, you have very few hours to access it, so we didn't bother. There is a very good open-air public swimming pool, just a short walk away, which we can recommend.

“Big on promise, little on delivery.”

The town itself is incredible. It's so beautiful and peaceful walking around. The hotel is beautifully placed in the town along the water. The rooms were spacious and very well designed. The spa was unique, which is the reason we chose this hotel. We spent hours walking around the town and just enjoying the location, people and coffee.

What we didn't know when we booked was that there are no coffee or tea facilities. That the fridge is barely cool, which was a problem traveling with medicine. The spa was sub-par given what we've experienced elsewhere. The streamroom just didn't work, is not insulated and the slip-ons we were required to wear are incredibly slippery on the upper deck. The waterfall in the picture only came on in the last ten minutes of our stay. We were not impressed with a very limited vegetarian menu, so skipped dinner altogether and are our own cheese and cured meats. I'm not sure they realise they have a beautiful hotel and with a little effort this place could be world class.

I have no idea why this place us a 4 stars and with such nice reviews, bunch of thieves, not only they charge extra for spa package but when we booked that and arrived to the spa in our robes and shoes since there were no slippers in the room, they then told is we need to have shower cap and slippers and we are not allowed entry without them, being the first time we hear about this we mentioned we booked the room with spa access and that all charges were included as described in your own reservation and I was ignored and offered to pay for two shower caps and 2 slippers that are of absolute shitty quality and would only generate them money and the world trash, feeling deceived, I contacted reception to at least get a refund on my spa extra payment to the room and then they said it is not possible since I booked a spa package! Even when they are the ones not respecting the package concept! Breakfast was the worst I have had in all my travels, not one vegetable, all processed food, industrial tastes and full of sugar, poisoning clients instead of offering healthy options, ended up not eating anything almost, 2 sips of my coffee that tasted like pure sugar water with a coffee after taste. Staff was just unprofessional, we have seen them clean the room next to us, when they wiped the floor it was literally half wiped with around 50% not touched by the mop.
