Exclusivo ático en el centro de Castro Urdiales

It was on a busy street with bars and cafes. It was really noisy all the night. There was no WIFI. We paid and pre booked for one days parking. The code we were given didn’t work and we ended up having to pay again for it. I contacted the agent by email and what’s app and asked for a refund. I contacted them a second time and stated that I would report this on my review. Still no communication from them.

NO WIFI despite being listed under “property policies” on the listing and with WiFi details in the apartment. Communication from host was poor. We would never have booked an apartment without WiFi. This is a studio apartment. Air con was very difficult to control and seemed to have been preset. The balcony was a nice outdoor space with a keyhole glimpse of the sea down to the left and facing another apartment block.

It was extremely noisy till 6 am both nights that we stayed. If windows were closed it was too hot and stuffy. No internet was a huge problem - especially for international traveller’s who then have to rely on cellular data.

We think to say there was sea view was stretching it a bit. You could only just see the sea through a narrow corridor between buildings. The area is VERY noisy at night - especially Friday and Saturday (until 6am on both nights). This should be mentioned in the information. We didn't like that the lift opened directly into the apartment and that the internal door didn't lock. The WiFi code didn't work. The information said there was a clothes dryer but we couldn't find one - we had no reply regarding this when we asked where it was. We were unable to change the air-conditioning unit from 30° - it kept defaulting back to this temperature. Some instructions on using the equipment would have been very useful.
