Excellent help from Nerea at reception! She helped us sort out a parking ticket, and even offered to show us where to take the ticket and the payment when she got off work.

Nice hotel, located right in the center of the city on the main square. Room was nice, very good breakfast. You can avoid the restaurant attached to the hotel and prefer tapas on one of the terasses on the main square. There is a private parking.

Located on the French Camino. Excellent staff. Located on Main Plaza. Shopping.

The receptionist is very helpful and friendly. The room is very clean and has sufficient air conditioning.

This hotel is very easy to find and the hotel parking is signposted. However, you are not able to drop/collect luggage from the front door as it is on the main square. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, which was obviously very busy and all the parking near the hotel was taken. There is, however, a free public car park on the road into the town which is fine if you don't have much luggage. We opted for the hotel parking at 10 euros per night, mainly to get the car out of the heat for a couple of days. The car park has a steep ramp down to it, which is fine unless you have a sports car. The reception staff were very friendly and went out of their way to try to rectify a couple of problems we had - one with the safe that wasn't working and the other with the aircon. Unfortunately, neither was able to be rectified and the maintenance were not back on duty until the Tuesday. We were offered another room but the aircon was the same so they upgraded us to a room on the floor above. The aircon was better but I had deliberately chosen not to book those rooms as they're in the eaves and so have no view and are quite dingy. Also, if you're tall, getting in and out of bed could be dodgy, especially in the dark. I presume the rooms overlooking the square are the best ones. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the shower good. Astorga is a pretty little town and well worth a visit. The bar next door to the hotel (Urban Food?) served good tapas and we also had a good meal at Tandem at the end of the street across the square. We didn't eat at the hotel cafeteria as the menu was very complicated! Despite the couple of problems we had, we would stay here again if in the area.
