Exe Sevilla Macarena

We booked a 7 night stay through OTB bed and breakfast I was slightly concerned before arrival as I had read some of the negative reviews on this site although all other major review sites had good reviews. My concerns were completely alleviated upon arrival to this hotel. We were greeted by polite and welcoming staff who showed us a map of Seville and highlighted places to eat and drink along with how to get to main Sevillia attractions. Our luggage was stored as we arrived early and set off for a lovely first day. Upon return we were given our key card and went to our lovely room which had been kindly upgraded to a suite. The hotel is traditional with a lovely andalusia vibe with a central atrium with seating and a small bar. The breakfast room is large with a fantastic array of hot and cold food fresh juices, fruits, breads and meats along with hot options. As always choose your times to eat as it is a large hotel and can get busy. The waiting staff and chefs are present and constantly busy clearing tables and replenishing food.Our room was fantastic with a lounge, walk in shower and spacious bedroom. Plenty of wardrobe space and a safe (free of charge). We found the hotels location good for exploring close to Macarena Cathedral hop on bus stop close and taxis available just outside. We had a wonderful week and would not hesitate to stop again. Thank you to all the staff especially Jack and Samara for making our trip truly memorable.

I was abit hesitant after reading the bad reviews but it was actually a nice place, my room was clean and spacious I had a balcony which I wasn’t expecting and the mini bar is alright to have a chilled drink as well. Quick check in and check out as well. Nice place from my experience think some people are expecting the ritz

We used the hotel really for room only. I've seen others recently who visited and I wish I had seen this beforehand. Interesting Booking.com gave it 4 out of 4. I will agree with others that the sound insulation is poor. We had no cups in the room. Then these weren't replaced with clean ones and the tea, coffee and milk wasn't replaced. We called for more but this didn't arrive. Our door fob stopped working twice on separate meaning going down to reception and queuing to speak to reception. It all sounds a bit trivial but when you are paying quite a bit for just a room I am sure there are better hotels offering better value for money.

I wish i had read the review before booking this is a terrible hotel !!!Very poor experience at Exe Sevilla Macarena. At check-in the receptionist gave unclear information and refused my late check-out, even though it was included in my booking. Later I saw a notice in the elevator saying there would be no hot water from 10:00am on my check-out day due to maintenance. I am staying only one night and have a late flight, which is exactly why I booked late check-out—to rest and get ready properly before travelling. Not having hot water makes this completely unacceptable. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told there was no manager on the late shift and no one authorised to make decisions. Very poor communication and organisation. I hope the hotel management reviews this situation and provides a proper explanation or solution.

Receptionist Christina went out of her way to help us with train booking to Granada. All other staff were wonderful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is gorgeous and a lot of work and care has gone into it. The location is very central. The breakfast was well prepared and had many amazing choices.
