Experiencia en Triana

While we really enjoyed our stay overall, there are a few things future guests may want to be aware of. The apartment is on the ground floor, which is somewhat unusual for the area, where most residential units are typically above ground-level businesses. It seems the space may have originally been a commercial property that was converted into a tourist rental. As a result, natural light is limited to the front window. While the lighting could have been a bit brighter, and a few bulbs needed replacing, this didn’t affect our overall comfort. Because of the ground-floor location and proximity to popular bars and restaurants, noise at night can be noticeable. It’s definitely a lively area—stepping out of the apartment puts you right into the heart of Triana’s nightlife, which is great for atmosphere but may not suit light sleepers. The loft-style design means there are no fully enclosed bedrooms. Instead, there are two open sleeping areas upstairs with no doors, which may not be ideal for all travelers. One of the upstairs areas includes a toilet and sink (also without a door), while the second bathroom (with the only shower) is located on the ground floor—so expect some trips up and down during the night. A few small touches could improve the overall experience, such as more attention to cleaning (especially the kitchen trash cans) and some maintenance near the pool area, where humidity seems to have affected the walls and paint. That said, these were minor issues in the context of a fun and memorable trip. The location, pool, and overall charm of Triana still made it a great stay for us.

The pool in the unit kept it overly humid and smelly. It was therefore hard to get clothes to dry and to regulate the temperature.
