Expoholidays - Plaza Santa Rita

Unfortunately this hosting was a disspointment. We booked the listing the same day in early morning, we were 400km away from Almaria. Firstly, automatic email guidences gave the very wrong address. I booked the listing according to bookings details in Almaria close to old town, driving guidences said to drive to Aguadolce which is 10+ km out of town. As one of us speaks excellent spanish she called the host and this way we found out that there was misguidings. OK,no big harm. But also within phone call it came out that as checkng-in was supposed to be possible starting from 16:00 there is currently a "big problem" and we cannot check in yet. We agreed that host calls us when the problem is solved. After travelling the whole day we needed to kill time in the streets. We were travelling as 2 couples and 2 small kids. Kids were tired and frustraited. So 2 hours later we called ourselves to find out if that problem is being solved and when will be the chance to check-in. 1/2 hours later we finally got informed that now we can check-in. We immideatly checked in with mobile. By entering we all were dissapointed. In real life the place looked outdated and all the images in the online listing are unfortunately very heavily photoshoped. Also the place was visibly not fully clean yet,it was just half clean. The surfaces were dusty as your finger leave the heavy path. Kitchen cabinets were partly durty inside. It was clear that this place was not rented out in a long time. So that was the big problem -the place was not yet ready for hosting and needed heavy cleaning. As we were not happy with the place and whole waiting experience then just after cheking in and seeing the place we kindly asked the host for refund, the host refused. Although it was clear that the place was not fully ready to host guests. As we needed to stay only 1 night and refund was refused and it was already late evening then we decided to stay that 1 night and leave early morning.

We had issues with door system, only 1 saucepan for a 6 berth room, hot water system can not accommodate 5 people let alone 6
