“Nice apartment, tight-fisted owners”

The location of the apartment is good. We rented a car at the airport, so we needed a parking spot - you can find free parking spots on the neighboring streets. There are small shops at a walking distance. There are 2 nice bakeries nearby with a rich variety of breakfast options. The apartment is big enough for a family of 4 (we were 2 adults and 2 kids). The kitchen is well equipped and comfortable, beds and pillows were also good. Nice bathroom, not too small. The owner sent us a video showing and explaining where everything is located and how to use it. He sent us some food and sightseeing recommendations as well, which is useful if you have not searched the city in advance.

To be improved

There were 3 things that bothered us: 1. Although he sent us the key code for entering the apartment and the video, the owner welcomed us upon arrival around 9:30 p.m. and entered the apartment with us showing us around and explaining everything once again in person. We were very tired and didn't like that because it was more than 15 min. I think all this makes the process of sending us all the information in advance useless. Besides, the lack of privacy is not for everyone's taste. 2. There was no cleaning or bed sheets exchange included, and for 4 nights you definitely need to clean the floor at least. It would be good to have a vacuum cleaner at least in the laundry room so that you can clean yourself. We used broom and shovel instead, which was quite uncomfortable. There is a washing machine, but you can not use it unless you buy washing powder or capsules yourself. We recommend the owners provide their guests with washing powder and vacuum cleaner. 3. The most unpleasant thing during our stay was the AC switching off all the time. We were told it is programmed to switch off "ONLY" 5 times a day (at 02:00, 11:00, 16:00, 20:00 and 23:00 o'clock) for electricity and money saving reasons, which is not acceptable for us. We visited the apartment in December when the temperatures outside were 10-15 degrees, and we needed to warm up in the evening and during the night after a whole day out in the city. We were even texted a few times one of the days - the owner asked us what's going on and why the temperatures in the apartment are so high (we were not inside at that time). I think their thermometers are out of order or they take the temperatures from the ceiling level where all the hot air goes. Down is granite flooring and is cold when you walk without slippers (bring such if you visit in winter). They hot water boiler was also set to lawer temperatures.
