“Lackluster host + decent but less than ideal apartment = not for everybody”

1. Host threatened me for pointing out quality issues: "don't complicate your life and if you really feel uncomfortable, leave the accommodation now." Lovely. 2. Host did not communicate in advance of arrival until I pinged for details. 3. Arrival details were unclear and host did poorest imaginable job of setting expectations. Host said it would be easy to find private parking -- it took me an hour of circling one-way streets to find suitable parking. It stands to reason (because the host did not bother be curious) that someone making tourist booking is a visitor who's unfamiliar with the locale, so there's a basic failure on the host's part here of being helpful and courteous. To make it worse, the host at last moment (when I was driving from Cordoba) messaged me that entry is by personal key delivery and I had 45 minute window to pick up the key otherwise I'd have to wait four more hours and pay extra! This delivery person was not at the location when I got there (barely within time) so you can imagine the panic. Who needs this uncertainty on vacation? 4. I booked for five guests but host left out blankets for three. After I complained about that and the lack of heating, the host messaged me on day two to say where extra blankets were hidden and blamed me for not figuring it out myself (who hides blankets UNDER SOFA CUSHIONS?!?). 5. If you need WiFi, this is NOT your place. There is no working WiFi. Unfortunately booking doesn't let me upload videos but I have evidence to show that the WiFi did not connect at all during our two night stay. 6. There were tiny rolls of toilet paper provided and scant supplies otherwise in bathroom and kitchen. Seriously, if you want me to buy my own toilet paper, then say so in the listing. 7. Host demanded passport scans (which hosts in Toledo and Cordoba did not). When I resisted providing my children's passport scans, host called the police (at least host said he did). 8.

Location was wonderful, over restaurants, and there was plenty of room for our group of 7.

To be improved

Unfortunately, there was no WiFi. In the bathroom, shower equipment was falling apart a little and it's possible the bathroom sink was leaking.
