Family Penthouse Duplex 3 BDR & Private Terrace

Stairs to roof top terrace were very narrow.

Our stay at the penthouse in Malaga was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. From the very beginning, the service and conditions were far below acceptable standards. First, our check-in time was confirmed by Booking.com to be between 10:00 and 11:00 am. However, less than 24 hours before our arrival, we were abruptly informed by the host that this was a mistake. He claimed that he could not let us into the property before 5:00 pm, though he would “try” to arrange an earlier check-in by 3:00 pm. This is completely unacceptable. We had already booked flights to fit the original morning check-in time that was confirmed. As a result, we were left stranded in the heat, with no option but to wander around the city for hours, searching for luggage storage, because even leaving our bags at the property in the morning was not allowed. This level of disorganization and lack of consideration for guests is unacceptable, and it left us with an immediately negative impression. Upon finally entering the apartment, we discovered there was no hot water. After an exhausting day, this was the last thing we needed. Since it was already late, we waited until the next morning to inform the host. Even then, it took him over 2.5 hours to respond, promising that someone would replace the gas bottle “during the day.” When we returned in the evening, to our disbelief, the issue still hadn’t been resolved. The host’s response was dismissive—he insisted everything should be fine. We showed him that the boiler wasn’t functioning properly, and that the gas stove wasn’t working either, clearly indicating that no gas was coming through. His solution? He asked us to check the gas bottle ourselves and reconnect it if necessary! This was not only shocking but completely unprofessional. After much insistence, the host reluctantly agreed to send someone. Late that evening, a handyman finally arrived and confirmed what we had already suspected: the gas bottle wasn’t connected.

Old facilities but well painted. 1 bathroom for 6 people. Mattress/beds are ok for 1-2 days but not longer due to back issues.

No attention I call the owner but she couldn’t talk because she was in work. She never try to call Amateur hosting
