The management of this property was unorganized and inefficient. Firstly, the host did not contact us prior to our arrival. We made multiple attempts to reach out via the booking platform to arrange check-in and key pickup for weeks. The host later mentioned trying to contact us via WhatsApp, but since our number was not registered on that platform, communication did not occur. It is unclear why WhatsApp was considered necessary when the booking platform’s messaging system was available but not utilized. Upon arrival, we noticed a strong odor throughout the apartment, which we identified as mold. Mold was present in the AC unit upstairs, in the maintenance closet, and other areas. The upstairs bathroom lacked proper ventilation, which may have contributed to the smell and mold accumulation. Additionally, small cockroaches were found in the upstairs bathroom when the light was turned on. It's unclear if they originated from the apartment or entered from another unit after fumigation, but it was an unpleasant discovery. The lower-level shower head was dirty and not functioning well, making it difficult to use. After reporting the issue, it took four days to be resolved. The explanation given about water pressure issues in the area was inaccurate, as the upstairs shower and all other sinks were functioning properly. There were also minor issues with cleanliness and the absence of basic amenities, such as a trash can in the bathroom, though these were less significant concerns. Regarding the apartment itself, it is a duplex with the second floor having a slanted ceiling due to its rooftop location. Additionally, the balconies are French-style, meaning they extend less than 30 cm outward.
