“30 mins per check in at front desk & cigarettes ⁹”
Location
Front desk are the slowest people I've ever met. They take over 30 minutes per check in. Every guest was already sparked and upset. Dinner buffet was ok but they turned off the coffee machine and ask you if you want coffee to go purchase it at the bar. Very few protein options. Room stink to cigarettes. you wake up stinking to cigarettes cause sheets, pillows, everything just smells to cigarettes.

This is the formal complaint i sent to the hotel about our stay in the hotel. This is a Formal Complaint about Sewage smell in room 721 Fergus Cactus Garden Playa Jandia . ( Booking Confirmation Number 4915.135.443) In this complaint I will outline to you the sequence of events during our stay in room 721. I hope when you read this sequence of events you can appreciate how frustrating it was for us staying in this room that smelled of sewage every night. This was our annual holiday and it was ruined by the way we were treated in your hotel. On March 13 we arrived at Fergus Cactus Garden in Playa Jandias and we were allocated room 721. During the night the smell of sewage in the room was so bad that we had to get up from bed and sit outside on the patio. We left the Patio doors open for the rest of the night to get rid of the sewage smell. On Friday morning the 14th March we made a formal complaint to the reception desk and were told that they will send someone up to fix it. We explained that we can not sleep in that room again with that Sewage smell. We arrived back on Friday evening to find that someone had put cleaning agents in the toilet etc.We slept in the room Friday night and again during the night the Sewage smell increased and we again had to get up from for about an hour and open both front and patio doors to try to get rid of the smell .Left the patio doors open again all night to reduce the smell so we could get some sleep. On Saturday 15th morning I again made a formal complaint to the hotel reception and asked for a new room and was told that the hotel was full and they are unable to give me a new room. They also said that they had other complaints from other rooms about the smell and that they are getting a technician to look into it.

The room has no windows the only opening is a door to a communal walkway so you cannot leave it open you need to sleep in a fully enclosed box, which is totally illegal, claustrophobic, suffocating and unacceptable. Making matters worse, the room rieks of mold. Mold + no windows is illegal and unacceptable.. asking for a full refund. Also there is no cellular reception in the room or even near the room so you cannot take regular business phone calls.

From the beach landscape
The hotel was disappointing in several aspects. First: we knew the hotel was far, but we relied on the bus. However, it took too long, and to get there faster, we had to take two different buses, which took almost three hours. If they had informed us in advance that renting a car beforehand would be cheaper and that we could pick it up at the airport, we would have done so. Also, we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, and we expected at least a glass of champagne or some welcome drink—nothing! Not even a small note in the room. The receptionist who helped us find our room was visibly unwilling and made us feel uncomfortable. There was a show on Thursday, so we expected the same over the weekend, but the scheduled events simply didn’t happen, with no explanation. The room had two twin beds pushed together, but they were so noisy that any movement was disturbing. A disappointing experience.
