The property was across from the swimming pool which was great. The unit is large, a lovely big kitchen come dining come living room and two good size bedrooms, one of which is en-suite.
The issues encountered include: 1. No cot provided for the baby, despite this being a clearly requested and paid for in advance and essential item for our stay. This was discussed on with the company on a number of separate occasions. First night, our 13 month old baby had no cot to sleep in. 2. The high chair provided was unsafe – the legs were not suitable and were not made for the chair, causing it to collapse each time it was moved. This could have resulted in injury. 3. There was a persistent smell of old smoke throughout the apartment, which was unpleasant and not suitable for a family environment. When the air conditioning unit was used, smell of cigarette smoke was emitted from other apartments. 4. Both the shower and bath leaked, creating wet and slippery floors. My daughter slipped and fell as a result. A video showing the extent of the leaking from the shower was sent to the host but no reply. The ceiling tiles in the main bathroom also need attention. and were falling in in some places. 5. The kitchen crockery and utensils were dirty and dusty upon arrival, suggesting poor cleaning and preparation before our check-in. 6. The air conditioning unit repeatedly tripped the fuse, making it unreliable and uncomfortable in the heat. 7. The external door lock broke, compromising the security of the apartment. We had to contact the company twice before receiving a response. When we did, we were simply told, “It was working when you checked in,” which was both unhelpful and dismissive. Despite two emails, there was no reply from the host to the issues raised. I was told that we would be compensated for the lack of cot on the first night, this did not happen. PLEASE NOTE THIS WAS NOT RENTED DIRECTLY FROM THE HOTEL.
