Finally Casita

From start to finish we had poor communication from the hosts. We arrived late Saturday evening and I had previously communicated our arrival time to be between 10-11pm - this was approved by the hosts. Then when we did arrive- I attempted to contact the hosts multiple times before 11pm and after. We were given an automated response to state that office was closed and a WhatsApp number was listed to contact. We tried to contact that number and it did not ring through and went to an automated inbox. We were then advise of a third party management company with whom we had to register credit card details as a deposit which is mentioned no where in the booking. Eventually we did get the key code of the box outside from text messages from a management company to allow us access to the property. On our first night after accessing the property we found an ant infestation throughout the property. We also found multiple cockroaches in the bedroom, bathroom, toilet and bedding. We attempted to contact the hosts again the following morning to request communication about our options, disinfectant and cleaning of the property as well as us requesting to be moved to a cleaner property. The communication was so poor from the host. We were led on for several hours that they would sort it and get maintenance out but no confirmation given about times etc so that we could plan our holiday day around this visit. When maintenance did come to the property I got a one sentence message to say they called and put powder on the windows. We had specifically asked them to dispose of the cockroaches we had trapped under glasses. When we arrived back to the property after maintenance had been- they had not done this for all cockroaches- they removed two from under the glass- brushed then up and put the brush in the visible porch area with the Cockroaches still on the brush. They had kept one glass with a cockroach inside by the bedside.

Ant problem at the property, not enough bath towels given for the guests.

Had to mess around supplying a credit card for a deposit with a 3rd party company outside of booking.com. This should be communicated in the property description. They wouldn’t let us in without this. Place also had an ant problem in the kitchen.
