Finca Caracol

Booked a week but left after the first night. The pool was tiny, more like a bath tub and unusable as the water was dirty and green, the WiFi didn’t work, the entire place was very dirty with a heavy nasty smell throughout. It is very disorganised with tools and machinery all over and equipment laying about. There is a thick layer of dust over everything and the bedding was smelly. The house is not secure and anyone can walk in. There were no towels, no hair dryer or soap as advertised. There was a bowl of rotting fruit in the rooms, no doubt contributing to the smell. The tv has no arial so didn’t work. There is an array of bear wiring hanging from walls and a mess of wiring around the router all dirty and sticky. The outside area was a dangerous abandoned building site with rubble, pipes, wiring, cement, ladders, and old toilet and bidet, building equipment etc. strewn about everywhere. There were no staff at all other than someone living in a dirty caravan who didn’t speak Spanish or English (although pleasant and tried to help). There is very long list I could write. It’s a shame as the property is in a beautiful mountainous location and I’m rather disappointed not to mention out of pocket as we had to book and stay in a hotel.

We did not have a complete set of bed sheets and the bed was not done. The room and facilities could be cleaner. The rooms do NOT Have keys, and the house is shared. The location is remote and the road is not for all cars. The woman that attended us was not professional (e.g. We arrived at the place and she did not know if there was wifi or the password, even worse: she told us we didnt need keys and then we found the house closed at night). We tried to use the whirlpool and there was not enough hot water.
