“Fantastic, perfectly located property!”

If you want to be treated like family, you must visit Finca Es Velar! My family, which consisted of my parents in their 70s, my husband and my 8 month old baby and myself of course had an amazing time visiting Santanyi for the first time. For starters, Elke and HP are very communicative so I felt comfortable right away, they also made us feel very welcome. I requested a crib for my baby which they already had set up when we got there, plus they also had a high chair which we used every day. The kitchen has everything you need, so we cooked a lot. The rooms are spacious and clean. It has a great sitting area where we ate meals and sat around a lot. The property itself was beautiful and peaceful. I would recommend for anyone to outside at night to look at all the stars, for us, it was magical. It’s so well located, as within minutes walk you’re at grocery store or you can walk to the center of town for food and shopping. If we’re back in Mallorca in the future, we will 100% go back and stay at Finca Es Velar. Elke, HP and Sunny, thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

We were looking forward to our stay at Finca Es Velar. The pictures in Booking.com showed a romantic and beautiful place. The reality didn’t have anything to do with the pictures showed. We were supposed to have a bungalow with a kitchen, a living room, a separate bedroom, washing machine and a bathroom. However, we were so disappointed. We got a bungalow that consisted of one dark room, with kitchenette with very old appliances, beds and small table. No living room, no washing machine. The room was just ugly and definitely not inviting at all. Upon our arrival Elke, our host asked us 150 euro deposit in case we do some damage. We gave her the deposit and before our departure we got our money back, but I was wondering that there was no single object in the room that could cost even close to 150 euro. She also asked us for 100 euro for cleaning fees, which we refuse, pointing out that this was not in the description we got from Booking.com. Probably in the past this place was a nice one, but now it seems like everything is falling apart…. In the description of the place there is: Room service, breakfast in the room, wellness center with massages, personal trainer, yoga classes. All this is no existent Also: - coffee house on site, well this is a funny description for a tiny place with a coffee machine and a refrigerator. You can make yourself a coffee and you pay later - barbecue, yes you have, but you have to pay if you want to use it -bar, this is really exaggerated In summary the description given in booking.com does not correspond to what you will find. I really don't understand how this place won Traveller Review Awards 2025. It is just not possible. We were also disappointed from booking.com. I sent two messages to their customer service asking for help, and I never got any answer.

“Perfect Stay in Santanyi”

My three friends and I had a fabulous stay in Finca es Velar. Clean, homely, with great amenities and pool. Location was beautiful and peaceful, only a short walk away from the town centre. Our host Elke was incredibly helpful and super responsive anytime we needed anything. She even surprised me with a bottle of cava for my birthday to make our stay more special. An added plus was getting to meet her dog Sani who is sweet, friendly and very well behaved. We couldn’t ask for anything more perfect!

“Superb”

The best

We had a very nice apartment with three large bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, and a lounge with a well equipped kitchen. The finca only has three apartments and it’s situated in a rural area, but you can walk to the town Santanyí in ten minutes. The hostess Elke is very nice and helpful.

We liked everything and we can really recommend the place.
