“Perfect place for a quite and relaxed vacation in a rural area with good price for value ratio”
The many places to sit outside the house in the garden or terrace are just wonderful. With direct views on the highest peak the El Tiede, the Ocean and the rural area around the Finca. I very nice and quite environment away from the masses. The kitchen is fully equiped with a combi gas oven and gas stove. Note the accommodation has no cable (high) power electricity, but the solar panels with battery easily provide enough power for television/laptop/lights/fridge/freezer and so on.
Some of the light bulbs color were cold white. I contacted the owner about it and she will take care of it to replace them for a more nicer/cosier/warmer light color.
“Tranquil”
Fantastic location and aspect. So peacful
The road to the property is single track, very steep and full of pot holes in places. It’s worth it when you get there but access is not for the faint hearted
“Tranquil Hillside Haven: A Rustic Retreat for Nature Enthusiasts”
This property offers a truly remarkable experience. Nestled atop a tranquil hillside, it provides panoramic vistas of the coastline, mountains, and the majestic Teide peak. The rustic charm of the farmhouse is complemented by its sprawling garden, expansive courtyard, inviting pool, comfortable sunbeds, and shaded shelter – a perfect retreat from the sun's rays. Equipped with all the essentials for cooking and grilling, the house offers a serene environment for families, even accommodating our 11-month-old baby with a thoughtfully provided high chair and crib. The absence of internet turned out to be a refreshing digital detox, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature and quality family time. During our summer stay, while the rest of the island sweltered in temperatures exceeding 30-35°C, this hillside haven offered a pleasant 26-28°C during the day and a refreshing 18-20°C at night – a welcome respite. As our visit neared its end, we indulged in stargazing from the comfort of the sunbeds. The absence of light pollution unveiled a breathtakingly clear night sky, an unexpected delight. This retreat is tailored for those seeking solace away from urban life, opting for tranquility and nature's embrace. It's advisable to dedicate days and weeks solely to this haven, savoring the seclusion. While the nearest grocery store is just a 15-minute drive away, and the coast around 20 minutes, it's important to note that this haven rests high in the mountains. A winding 5-minute journey along country roads leads to a 15-20 minute ascent, navigating Tenerife's charming small city roads among villages and mountains. Evenings may envelop you in a cloak of clouds, providing a surreal experience of mist drifting through. In the winter, temperatures can drop significantly to around 8°C, shrouding the place in fog throughout the day.
“Beautiful and peaceful house in the mountain side”
Very well maintained beautiful house in the mountain side (860m) Owner was really trying her best. Everything even the smallest details were taken care. Information she sent before was really good. House was very clean. The terrace I liked the most ! I had couple of evenings nice fire at the terrace fireplace. Brought for evenings the smaller gas heater out there to heat up terrace. Area is really good for walking and trekking, maybe the best in Tenerife ! I could come back here ! Gracias Mercedes !
We were unlucky with the cold weather. In the mornings the temperature outside was even under 10C, inside not much more. The house has heating with two movable gas heaters. And i was afraid of using them inside. They need a lot of pure air (oxygen) and they turn off if there is too much of CO2. Keep them so that they get fresh air all the time. The gas heaters produce on burning CO2 and water. I was in the area exactly 1 year ago and it was much over 20C. Now it was usually little bit sun in the cool morning then in the afternoon fog. So check the weather or at least prepare for the cold. Would be totally different case in the summer or warmer winter ! So if the walls of the house and walls are cold, all the humidity is collected to everywhere.
