We think the property was too expensive for what we get (example; kitchen could have had normal glassware / tea cups and a toaster). And the heating was not great. It's not what we needed, but as the price was quite high, we would expected it to be a bit better equiped. But, we had a very nice stay in the end.

The house was not prepared for our visit and was not suitable for the weather conditions - it was completely wet (even the door to the toilet/bathroom could not be closed because of humidity level in the house) and cold (the owners provided 2 heaters one of which was not giving any heat) and the fireplace in the kitchen was not working. So we were moving the one good heater from one bedroom to another and then to the kitchen to get some warmth. The owners promised to bring another heater and to help with the fireplace but that was only on the 4th day of our stay when we informed them that we are going to leave. The communication with the owners in general was difficult as they do not talk English. In addition in a couple of days we have discovered hundreds of ants in the kitchen - was very unpleasant. In general it is not fair at all to get this money for these living conditions! At the end we left earlier (staying there only 5 nights instead of 11) and, of course, we have not got any compensation from the onwers for staying not for the full period that we paid for. And a couple of smaller points: the road to the house was rather challenging (steepy) and it takes you quite a while to get to the nearest village where you can buy some food. The good supermarkets are only in the suburbs of Puerto de la Cruz.
