“Great Hotel - Testing Location”
Hotel had all you need. It's really quaint and quietly located. Staff were great, breakfast was cooked and very nice. The restaurant food was great as were other restaurants nearby. There were a couple of convenience stores close by as well as a few coffee shops and tapas bars. For those with disabilities the location is in a high street at the top of a big hill. If you wish to see more of the immediate area it's downhill with a decent huff and puff back up. We are not disabled but a kind note for those who struggle physically, the hotel isn't really geared up for wheelchairs and is on several levels with big staircases. No lift. Those who choose the hotel will like it, many paragliders use the facilities and many different nationalities were there when we were. Enjoy 😉
We rented a car and although there are loads of free street parking bays, it was really hard to find a free one. Same for the locations we drove to in the beginning. By the third day we resorted to buses. The main stops to everywhere were 400m down the hill. You can buy tickets on the bus or a discount top-up card in the main towns. The buses were great. We didn't waste money with the car, 95 euro for the week, Goldcar from the airport, because the taxi fare would have been around 120 euro return to the airport. We used the car to tour the volcano, spectacular.
